COLOP Marketing Conference 2011

More than 80 COLOP distribution partners from all over the world followed our invitation to visit the COLOP Marketing Conference 2011 which was held from October 12th till October 15th in Salzburg, Austria.

The event was themed „Racing to Success”. Of course, during the conference, we worked intensively to become well prepared for our “race to success” – besides having enough time to introduce the participants to the Austrian culture.

External top-class lecturers from various different areas out of the economy gave an account about developments in this fast moving period of time, about consequences of product lifecycles becoming shorter every day and the necessity of faster response times.

The reaction on changing consumer behaviors, increasing web transparency or the very interesting field “social media” were picked out as a central theme. Last but not least, the meaning and importance of the “brand” was gone through carefully.

All these subjects were taken over into workshops to work intensively in teams on it. Developments and trends of products, communication, e-business such as competition and key accounting were presented and discussed, such as new ideas were developed.

As aforementioned we took care of a diversified evening program. During an elegant dinner at castle Hellbrunn, our worldwide guests experienced the sung life story of Mozart in impressive atmosphere; contrary, we disclaimed from etiquette during the second evening event – a knights banquet at Fortress Hohensalzburg – to better join funny games like archery or horseshoe.

We thank all COLOP distribution partners who set out for such a long way to spend a few exciting, informative and convivial days in the beautiful city of Salzburg. Besides, we do very much hope that everybody could bring along a few ideas back to his market and that the realization of those ideas will make us even more successful – according to our motto “Racing to Success”.
