COLOP Evening Paperworld 2020

COLOP Evening at Paperworld 2020

On the first day of the fair we were glad to invite our guests to the annual COLOP evening and were pleased to welcome numerous guests from different countries around the world at hotel Jumeirah.

After the champagne reception in the foyer of the Crystal Ballroom, the door to the grand ballroom was opened and the guests took a seat at the nicely decorated tables. The light went out slowly, the music started and the first act began. Through the door and quickly running onto the stage, the snake woman "Eliza" appeared wearing a white and silver glittering outfit. She immediately captivated the guests and amazed them by demonstrating her incredibly agile movements on stage.

After this amazing and unique show, Managing Director Ernst Faber welcomed the guests warmly. Head of Int. Sales & Marketing, Franz Ratzenberger, gave a review of the major developments and changes at COLOP in the past few months. Today COLOP operates in three business areas: in the standard stamp sector, in the business electronic area as well as the field of arts and crafts.
To show what has happened in each of the three areas, but also what the next steps will be in the future, he invited Operations Manager Gerhard Koschka, Managing Director of COLOP Arts and Crafts, Jaques Ahn, CTO Alex Breton and Senior Product Manager Wolfgang Pichler of COLOP Digital GmbH for interviews on stage. Their statements made it clear that many plans and new products are already in the pipeline and we can expect a lot from future developments at COLOP.

When the room got darker again and the music began to play, Eliza offered the audience a further increase of her performance. Inspired by Lisa Minelli in the musical cabaret, Eliza danced on stage and presented a great and amazing acrobatic performance. Standing on just one hand, she kept balancing seeming to be as light as a feather above the audience. An enthusiastic applause spoke more than a thousand words.

Mr. Faber finally opened the buffet and the evening ended comfortably and relaxed. We were pleased to welcome so many guests again this year and to be able to spend such a great and atmospheric evening together.
