This means: Much of the content already meets the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA – some not yet.
Which content is not (yet) accessible?
Currently, there are still a few places where you may notice limitations, e.g.:
PDF documents: Some PDF files created before July 2025 may not be fully accessible.
Payment processing via third-party providers: In the checkout area, the integrated pages of external payment services may contain barriers over whose design we have no influence.
Ambiguous elements: In some places, controls (e.g., icons or layout elements) may be recognized by the screen reader as clickable even though they are not. This can lead to confusion – we are working on making this clearer.
Unclear link text: Some modules currently lack clear link labels that clarify the purpose of the link. We are gradually making improvements here as well.
Missing text for screen readers: Some buttons or icons (e.g., shopping cart) currently lack descriptive text to help screen reader users clearly understand their function. We are continually adding this information.
We are continuously working to improve these aspects.
