colop.com is a website operated by COLOP-Stempelerzeugung Skopek Gesellschaft m.b.H. & Co. KG, Dr.-Arming-Straße 5, A-4600 Wels (“COLOP”). When accessing and using colop.com, data is collected and used which – as described in more detail below – may be data regarded as personal or affecting your privacy.

COLOP always collects, processes and uses the data in accordance with the statutory regulations in particular in compliance with the Austrian Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz) (DSG) 2000 and the Austrian Telecommunications Act (Telekommunikationsgesetz) (TKG) 2003 as well as the regulations applicable within the European Union.

Every access to the website colop.com is logged by COLOP. Specifically, in particular the anonymised IP address is logged and stored to optimise the user friendliness of the website (see Clause 3).

In addition COLOP processes the data provided by users or entered on colop.com for the purpose of contact, login and generating accounts if the user wants this. The following provides a detailed presentation of the individual data applications as well as details of the data stored:

COLOP offers users the option of getting in touch with COLOP using an online form:
Users enter the required data in particular name, email address, country, company, phone number and message into an online form and transmit this to COLOP using an encrypted connection.

This data is stored by COLOP and used for the following purposes (the “purposes”):
answering all queries and comments, processing the contact request.

2.3. Data processing for the purpose of “My Account”
COLOP offers users the option of creating an account using an online form (“Create an Account”):

Users enter the required data in particular first name, surname, email address, field of work, company name, phone number, address, town, postcode, country, password into an online form and transmit this to COLOP using an encrypted connection.
This data is stored by COLOP and used for the following purposes (the “purposes”):
account-specific information, user-specific information;

2.4. Data processing for the purpose of “Log-in”
COLOP offers the users the option of gaining access via “Log-in” to a separate area with detailed product information (“Log-in”):

Users enter the required data in particular email address, (user name), password, into the online interface and transmit this to COLOP using an encrypted connection.
This data is stored by COLOP and used for the following purposes (the “purposes”):

Access authorisation to the Log-In area, user-specific information;

Depending on requirements, suppliers, stamp makers, online shops, subsidiaries and sales partners in the relevant area will be displayed.

3. Cookies

3.1 Use of cookies
Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer and enable COLOP to analyse in particular how you use our website. COLOP uses or places cookies in compliance with Union law and the Austrian legal position (Article 5 (3) E-Privacy-RL and Section 96 (3) Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG) 2003).

colop.com needs to place cookies for correct functioning and in particular for saving users’ language preference and to make the functioning of the website more efficient.

4. Data transfer

Your data will only be transferred to service providers. There will be no other transmission to third parties.

The web presence of COLOP may contain advertising of other companies and also links to other websites. No data relating to you will be directly transferred by us to these companies.

5. Data Security

5.1. Security measures implemented
COLOP takes measures to ensure data security within the meaning of Section 14 DSG 2000. We have put in place comprehensive security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access by third parties.

Users’ passwords are transmitted encrypted and stored secured by encryption so that the password cannot be restored in plain text, even for COLOP. Thus your data are protected in the best way possible at COLOP from access by third parties.

Please note however that it is just as important protect your computer from unauthorised accesses by only allowing use by trustworthy third parties and always using up-to-date firewall and antivirus software and checking emails for their authenticity and trustworthiness (phishing emails).

5.2 Exclusion of liability
No liability is accepted for losses arising from the fact that you have not protected your computer adequately from accesses by third parties.

COLOP accepts no responsibility for updating this website to provide up-to-date information or to ensure the correctness or completeness of the information published and expressly excludes corresponding liability.
