COLOP donates €1,000 to Welser Tafel
With a donation of 1,000 EUR, the stamp manufacturer COLOP from Wels is once again making a solidarity contribution to the Welser Tafel, which provides warm meals, food and clothing to needy people from the region. The symbolic handover of the donation took place at the beginning of December 2021 to the head of the OÖ Tafel Erwin Hehenberger.
Solidarity is needed
"In these challenging times, but especially at Christmas, solidarity, cohesion and mutual support are in demand. As a company from Wels, it is therefore a special concern for us to support organisations in the region that need help now. With this donation campaign, we want to make a contribution so that people can experience a peaceful Christmas," says Ernst Faber, Managing Director of COLOP.
Donation to the Welser Tafel
The Upper Austrian Tafel is a private social institution which, thanks to numerous volunteers, is able to offer a wide range of services to those in need. Separations, small pensions, strokes of fate, illness, but also the deterioration of the economic situation due to the Corona pandemic can also bring people in need in our country. The Upper Austrian food bank mainly addresses people who have to get by on a few hundred euros a month. The aim is to help these people in need and to improve their quality of life. They get hot food every day, discounted groceries, second hand clothes as well as a quiet and warm environment for communication and social contacts. The contribution of 1,000 euros that COLOP provides can, for example, provide about 40 people with a hot meal for a week or send an emergency package to families with children for 16 weeks.
